Vallvik Mill in Söderhamn
Vallvik Mill produces long-fibre chemical sulphate pulps, and is among other things a global leading supplier of E-pulp and filter pulp. The sulphate process used is not only the most common process for production of chemical pulp but it also produces a stronger pulp. The factory's environmental impact is very limited thanks to the advanced circuit in the production process.
Vallviks Bruk is a world-leading producer of pulp for air and liquid filters in the food and automotive industries through Robur Flash ECF.
Robur Flash E-UKP is an extremely pure pulp type used for transformer insulation and high-voltage cables on the seabed. It has also made Rottneros a world-leading supplier of pulp for electrotechnical insulation materials.
The mill dates back to 1908 and around 167 people work here.
97% of the coking chemicals are recycled.
Around 80% of the electricity is produced in the mill and 99% of the fuels used are fossil-free.
The production amounted to 233 thousand tonnes, which is a new annual record for the mill.
Investments during the year totaled 116 MSEK. The majority was for equipment upgrade.
More then 90 percent of the pulp produced at the mill is used for filters, electrical applications, cardboard, fiber cement and specialty products.

Robur Flash ECF is our bleached pulp with high strength, purity and porosity, which helped us to become one of the world’s leading suppliers of pulp for air and liquid filters.
